Personal weather station recorded a 60 mph gust.

Multiple rounds of severe storms impacted Iowa on July 30th. This first round occurred through the early morning as a bowing line of storms moved into the area from Nebraska around 1 am CDT. This passed across the area through the early morning hours, exiting into southeastern Iowa by 5 am. Several sites reported wind gusts of 60-65 mph as this line of storms swept across the area. A second bowing segment passed across the are in the mid to late morning, this time bringing hail along with the winds. In its wake, thunderstorms developed on the outflow boundary across central to southeast Iowa. These storms were slow moving and produced heavy rain along with a number of quarter sized and larger hail reports.
