The southern half of the zone remained in Extreme(D3) drought while the north continued to be in Severe(D2) drought conditions.

Wider weather episode

Northern areas of the forecast area saw improving drought conditions with a large area ending the month of July with no drought or Abnormally Dry(D0) drought conditions. Areas across the south generally remained unchanged.
