Hot temperatures typically 7 to 11 degrees above normal were experienced across southeast Arizona August 3 and 4. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for two individuals in Tucson on August 3 and one individual found in the desert near Arivaca on August 4.
