Event narrative

A narrow, tilted waterspout was observed via the WFO Key West roof camera approximately 16 miles north northwest of Big Coppitt Key. The condensation funnel cloud extended about one fifth the way from the cloud base to the horizon. The waterspout moved toward the west-northwest around 10 knots.

Wider weather episode

An isolated, brief waterspout was observed in association with a convective rain shower well north of Key West.
