Rowan County dispatch reported a tree down on internet cables at the intersection of Knapp Avenue and Cecil Drive in Morehead.

Wider weather episode

A line of showers and storms developed ahead of an approaching cold front, moving across northeastern Kentucky in the afternoon. Additional storms formed ahead of the line, in far eastern Kentucky. Within the line of storms, one cell in particular became strong and resulted in severe thunderstorm warnings across multiple counties. This storm did result in straight line wind damage in portions of Rowan and Elliott Counties.
