Elliott County Dispatch reported one tree down on KY-557, right outside the Sandy Hook city limits.
Wider weather episode
A line of showers and storms developed ahead of an approaching cold front, moving across northeastern Kentucky in the afternoon. Additional storms formed ahead of the line, in far eastern Kentucky. Within the line of storms, one cell in particular became strong and resulted in severe thunderstorm warnings across multiple counties. This storm did result in straight line wind damage in portions of Rowan and Elliott Counties.
