Social media videos showed significant flooding along Sugar Run Road. Also, water was flowing around the foundation of at least two homes.

Scattered thunderstorms along a frontal boundary produced heavy rain which caused flash flooding across portions of northeast North Carolina.

Began near Sunbury (36.4300, -76.6000).
