Spotter reported power lines blown down on Fern Hill Rd, trees blown down on I-77 near mile marker 39, and trees and power lines down on Overhead Bridge Rd. Power lines were also blown down closer to Mooresville.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms and storm clusters developed over western North Carolina during the afternoon. A few of the storms produced severe weather in the form of brief damaging wind gusts.
