Spotter reported a large tree was blown down across the roadway near Highway 152 W and Jackson Rd, and another tree down a little farther east down Highway 152.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms and storm clusters developed over western North Carolina during the afternoon. A few of the storms produced severe weather in the form of brief damaging wind gusts.
