NWS storm survey found downburst damage in the area centered around Graham Rd near the Buncombe County line. Numerous trees and large limbs were blown down in this area.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms developed over the North Carolina mountains during the afternoon. One of the storms produced a couple of strong downbursts near the border of Buncombe and Madison Counties.
