Event narrative

Numerous trees branches snapped, an outdoor table was destroyed, and an awning was ripped off of a trailer at a residence just off of FM Road 1971 on County Road 164 in the Dotson/Long Branch area.

Wider weather episode

An isolated severe thunderstorm developed in southwest Panola County early in the afternoon on July 22nd. This thunderstorm produced very localized damaging wind gusts, consistent with that of a microburst. Damage at a single residence included numerous trees branches snapped, an outdoor table destroyed, and an awning was ripped off of a trailer just off of FM Road 1971 on County Road 164 in the Dotson/Long Branch area.
