Reported high temperatures ranged from 89 to 97 degrees. On 07/23/24, reported low temperatures ranged from 50 to 62 degrees. Reported high temperatures ranged from 92 to 99 degrees.

A persistent ridge over the western states with an associated thermal trough extending from northern California into southern Oregon brought a long-duration heat wave. Excessive heat conditions on 7/24 were limited to the Shasta Valley in central Siskiyou County.
