Persistent high pressure brought excessive heat to western Siskiyou County for 10 consecutive days from July 4th through July 13th. Low temperatures were generally in the mid 50s to upper 60s, and high temperatures in the upper 90s to 110 degrees. But, peak readings were recorded on July 6th of 114 degrees at Happy Camp and Sawyers Bar, and 115 degrees at Somes Bar.
