Mesonet site ROBN4 at Robbins Reef measured a 34 knot wind gust.

Wider weather episode

A well-defined shortwave trough and embedded MCV from the previous night's severe MCS tracked towards the region. Strong heating allowed for the area to destabilize, with MLCAPE values around 1000-2000 J/kg. This combined with 30 kt of Effective Bulk Shear allowed for thunderstorms to become severe and produce damaging wind gusts across the waters.
