Severe thunderstorm outflow winds downed trees near the junction of Payne Rd. and Rt 1 in Scarborough.

A large MCS formed across New York state on the afternoon of July 16th. This complex continued to move eastward and held its structure as it reached New Hampshire by early evening. The complex began to weaken by late evening when it reached York and Cumberland County Maine. Isolated wind damage was reported as the storms began to weaken across the area.
