A Franklin county coroner confirmed that a 61 year old male east of Pasco, WA had died of hyperthermia, with alcohol intoxication a contributing factor.

An upper level ridge of high pressure persisted over the PacNW for nearly a week. The upper ridge resulted in hot temperatures developing across the region, with widespread moderate to major HeatRisk. Several counties across the region opened cooling centers for the general population.
