Hawarden wildfire started 130 pm on July 21, 2024. It burned and damaged up to 18 homes in City of Riverside. Fireworks were suspected to start the fire. Estimated 10 million in damages.
Wider weather episode
Several wildfires erupted in July, mainly late in the month. Hawarden fire in City of Riverside did the most damage. The excessive heat caused rapid drying of the vegetation and fuels.
