Strong north to northeast winds were observed across the eastern range of the Santa Monica Mountains. Some peak gusts include: Saddle Peak (gust 67 MPH), Backbone Trail (gust 66 MPH) and Malibu Hills RAWS (gust 65 MPH).
Wider weather episode
A second, late season, storm rolled across Southwestern California. This storm brought strong north to northeast winds as well as strong thunderstorms with gusty outflow winds and hail.
