The CENEWS mesonet station recorded a wind gust of 62 mph as a result of outflow winds associated with a nearby cluster of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.

Wider weather episode

Scattered convection developed in advance of an approaching shortwave trough digging through the Pacific Northwest. This convection resulted in some isolated instances of severe wind gusts.
