Severe drought conditions were removed from the far northwest portion of the zone.

The wider storm

Drought conditions across north central and southeastern areas continued to improve due to a couple of storm systems moving through the state during the beginning and middle part of the month. The heaviest precipitation fell across northeastern NM where drought conditions were already very limited.
