A thunderstorm produced estimated wind gusts to 34 knots (39 MPH) near a mesonet at Piney Point/Grasonville (EW5728) adjacent to Eastern Bay.

Several bands of showers and thunderstorms affected the tidal Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay, resulting in numerous gale-force wind gusts.
