Event narrative

Several trees blew down north of Chancellorsville. Trees blew down in the 13800 block of U S Frd Road, in the 9300 block of VA-610 Elys Ford Road, and near the intersection of VA-618 River Road and VA-3 Plank Road.

Wider weather episode

Numerous thunderstorms developed ahead of a cold front. Several of the storms became severe, producing both considerable wind damage and giant hail in some cases.
