A fair-weather waterspout with a spray ring was spotted from Humacao along a streamer of clouds downwind from Vieques.

Wider weather episode

A surface high pressure centered over the central Atlantic Ocean induced an easterly wind flow. The easterly winds interacting with Vieques promoted the formation of a fair-weather waterspout downwind from the islands.
