Damaging thunderstorm wind gusts downed powerlines. Heavy rain accompanied thunderstorms as well, leading to localized ponding.

The wider storm

A couple disturbances crossed the Upper Great Lakes, driving a couple rounds of storms...one in the early morning hours which crossed Lake Michigan, and a second round that developed around midday on the 27th, crossing northern Michigan and resulting in areas of wind damage from Lake Michigan to near Saginaw Bay.

Began near Skidway Lake (44.1800, -84.0300).
