County dispatch reports numerous downed trees, limbs, and power lines with extensive power outages across the county as a result of damaging thunderstorm winds.

The wider storm

A couple disturbances crossed the Upper Great Lakes, driving a couple rounds of storms...one in the early morning hours which crossed Lake Michigan, and a second round that developed around midday on the 27th, crossing northern Michigan and resulting in areas of wind damage from Lake Michigan to near Saginaw Bay.
