What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

Minor damage occurred to 2 barns on Austin Road, between S Edon Rd and Gilmore Road. The circulation was only briefly on the ground with estimated wind speeds of around 65 mph.

The wider storm

Small, cyclic tornadoes moved through the warm sector of a low pressure system tracking from central IL to Kalamazoo. Widespread stratiform rain in the morning gave way to decreasing clouds which permitted scattered showers to develop. Three tornadoes occurred in Indiana. One tornado occurred in Michigan.

Began near Austin (41.7376, -84.7356).
