Event narrative

Widespread roadway flooding occurred in the tidal communities of Monmouth County. Water entered vulnerable buildings causing some damage. The tide gauge at Belmar reached 6.90 feet MLLW.

Wider weather episode

A prolonged period of onshore flow due to an offshore coastal storm + a full moon resulted in higher tides and moderate coastal flooding in some communities of coastal New Jersey.
