A member of the public reported a waterspout in the coastal waters of Punta Santiago, Humacao, and it was also seen from Naguabo.

The wider storm

As Hurricane Ernesto moved farther away from the region, it promoted a southeasterly wind flow across the islands, creating favorable weather conditions for waterspout formation.
