An upper level disturbance crossed the region during the 9th. The cold pool aloft steepened lapse rates and helped support isolated thunderstorm development across Downeast areas. Some of the thunderstorms produced hail. Most of the hail was less than a half inch in diameter. However...one storm produced three-quarter inch hail near Wesley in Washington county.
