A large storm system just grazed the area with several hours of light snow. This storm ended up trending farther south east than originally forecast, so snowfall amounts were on the lower side of what was expected. A few noteworthy snow totals were:

6.6 inches near Nerstrand in Goodhue County.

4.0 inches near Albert Lea in Freeborn County.

3.2 inches near Owatonna in Steele County.
