Spotter reported trees blown down onto houses on Pine St and on West C St in Kannapolis.

Scattered thunderstorms and storm clusters developed across the North Carolina mountains during the afternoon western moved east into Piedmont during the late afternoon and evening. A few of the storms produced brief damaging wind gusts.
