Spotters reported multiple trees blown down and blocking China Grove Rd and on Daugherty Rd. A tree was also blown down on a house on Old Beatty Ford Rd.

Scattered thunderstorms and storm clusters developed across the North Carolina mountains during the afternoon western moved east into Piedmont during the late afternoon and evening. A few of the storms produced brief damaging wind gusts.
