Event narrative

Numerous trees were blown down by severe thunderstorm wind gusts in the Paint Rock community. The Dollar General in the community sustained minor roof damage during the severe winds.

Wider weather episode

Small upper level impulses help to force a weakly organized mesoscale convective system during the late afternoon into early evening in East Tennessee, generating a few instances of severe straight line wind damage.
