Naples Police report Gordon Drive, south of Galleon Drive, is impassable due to water on roadway. Rainfall estimates were in the 3-4 inch range, most of this falling in about 2 hours.

Wider weather episode

A weak surface boundary moving across South Florida brought ample instability, lift, and moisture advection to provide conditions prime for convection on August 15th. Heavy downpours and localized flooding occurred, with slow-moving storms, as the boundary continued to linger in far southern FL throughout the day on the 16th.
