Wider weather episode
As mid-level troughing deepened over the East Coast U.S., it sent an associated frontal boundary into the Southeast US on August 19th and further into Central Florida on the 20th. With this frontal boundary, it supported showers and thunderstorm over the southeastern Florida metro and adjacent waters. Passing storms brought the threat for strong, gusty winds and waterspouts over the marine areas.
