Multiple reports of twin waterspouts east of Manatee Lagoon and associated with a large thunderstorm complex over the Atlantic waters.

Deep troughing provided plentiful energy and destabilization for an active morning on August 22nd. When the sea breezes kicked in, they continued to spark convective conditions with widespread afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the area and nearby waters.
