A passing upper level trough and surface Canadian cold front combined to result in a few showers and thunderstorms where the front stalled a bit across the Hi-Line. Winds along the front were already on the breezy side, so additional nudges from thunderstorms along the front were sufficient to result in gusts in excess of 58 mph.
