The Mesonet station at mile marker 12 along Interstate 10 recorded a peak gust of 65 mph.

Wider weather episode

A weak surface trough and some increased low level moisture brought thunderstorms to Hidalgo county. One storm became severe and produced wind gusts over 60 mph and blowing dust along the Lordsburg Playa.
