Received a report from a local broadcast meteorologist of nickel sized hail in the town of Voorheesville.

Wider weather episode

An upper level disturbance overhead resulted in the development of isolated showers and thunderstorms on August 15, 2024 within the Hudson Valley region of eastern New York. Some of these storms reached severe limits downing trees and wires and also producing hail in excess of 1 inch in diameter.
