Wind gust was measured on a personal weather station on Dundee Dr via WeatherFlow.

Showers and thunderstorms developed out ahead of an incoming surface trough across the Coastal Plain late in the morning across the Coastal Plain. This shower and thunderstorm activity then pushed east and strengthened with a few of these storms becoming strong to severe in nature bringing a damaging wind threat to the Albemarle Sound and our northern waters during the afternoon on September first.
