Peak wind gust was measured at the North River WeatherFlow station as thunderstorms were moving through the area.

A coastal trough off the Carolina coast was the focus for shower and thunderstorm activity throughout much of the day on September 13th. Ongoing shower and thunderstorm activity along the Crystal Coast and points offshore gradually shifted to the north as the day went on. A few of these storms became strong to severe in nature bringing damaging wind gusts to portions of the Crystal Coast during the afternoon.
