Thunderstorms developed over portions of central South Dakota during the overnight hours of August 18th. This activity became severe and tracked southeast into portions of north central Nebraska during the early morning hours of August 18th. Thunderstorm wind damage was reported in Holt county along with quarter sized hail in Boyd county.
