Rain began at 1220 PM. About 2 inches fell
between 1 PM and 2 PM. Surrounding sites
measured 3.5 to 4.1 inches of rain. Minor
street flooding was reported in the area.
The wider storm
A surface front continued to meander near the FL-GA state line. This feature combined with a very saturated airmass and slow steering flow promoted pockets of heavy rainfall where diurnally enhanced convection developed across NE FL.
