Several trees were downed along U.S. Route 9 near Spruce Mountain between Warrensburg and Chestertown.

Wider weather episode

An upper level disturbance near the New England coast supported isolated showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon hours on August 14, 2024. A few of these storms became severe downing trees and wires. Hail up to 1 inch in diameter was also observed from some of these storms.
