A few trees were blown down around Covington County including in the Collins area. A portion of the roof was blown off a clinic building along US Highway 49 in Collins as well.

Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms developed across various portions of Mississippi during the afternoons of August 14th, 16th, and 17th. These storms caused scattered wind damage from microbursts.
