A band of 2 to 4 inches fell across the northeastern part of the county. 3.5 inches of snow was measured 9.0 miles NNE of Bird Island, MN.

A Colorado Low tracked northeast through NE Iowa / SE Minnesota / Wisconsin, bringing a period of rain that changed over to snow across portions of south and east-central Minnesota. The snow was heavy at times, with visibilities dropping to a quarter mile or less at times. Despite warm ground temperatures, snow was able to accumulate up to 5 inches thanks to dynamic cooling associated with strong lift ahead of the upper level low.
