Emergency management reported large tree limbs and branches down, occurring between 1100 AM and 1200 PM Local Standard Time in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. One tree was one down on Rt 129 in the area of Dailey Drive with a road closure.

The pressure gradient tightened over the region as a cold front associated with the remnants of tropical system Debby approached from the west. This produced strong winds over southeastern New York during the afternoon hours of Aug 9, 2024.
