A stacked low pressure system over eastern Montana gradually lifted north with bands of showers and thunderstorms passing over North Dakota. One thunderstorm became severe over eastern Rolette County. The largest hail reported from this storm was the size of a golf ball, and occurred to the northeast of Belcourt.
