A storm system brought widespread beneficial precipitation to most of northeast Wyoming. Temperatures became cold enough for rain to change over to snow fairly quickly during the daytime of the 29th, then persisted into the morning hours of the 30th. The heaviest snow fell during the afternoon and evening hours. Snowfall amounts were heaviest across portions of southern Campbell County and the Bear Lodge Mountains. The highest amounts were reported in the Wright and Sundance areas, 7 to 14 inches, with amounts to around 6 inches elsewhere across southern Campbell County, the Gillette and Moorcroft areas, and Crook and western Weston counties. Travel was most impacted across southern Campbell County and portions of Interstate 90.
