A social media post showed a waterspout over the northern end of Lake Okeechobee as a strong thunderstorm moved through the area.

With a mid-level trough over the Florida Peninsula, and a stationary front positioned over Central Florida, plentiful moisture and instability was in place over South Florida. This resulted in numerous showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening of September 19th across South Florida.
